"Without you" by del james

I was doing a little research as to the meaning to some of guns and roses songs, and I just read "without you". Apparently this is very hard to get a hold of. In case you’re not familiar with it "Without you" is a short story by Del James that three music videos by guns and roses are based on. They are "don't cry", "november rain" and "estranged". Perhaps I will post it soon.

Anyway it is a very sad, and depressing story and it has kind of turned some of my own logic on it’s head. All my life I wanted too be rich. I though it would bye happiness, love, power, prestige and anything else I could ever want in life. This story has shows that even with money that may not be the case. This is definitely going to bring some on contemplation...

A Cool Blog!

Alrighty the moment you all have been waiting for.... (drum roll please).....ACoolBlog.com! Yea that's right, that's the new domain name. It will still go to the old URL if you want, though. Anyway I got a digital camera and printer/scanner/copier for Christmas so I can upload photos now too.

Domain name forwarding

I'm really exited right now. I just bough a really cool domain name for a unrelated site I'm going to start, maybe I'll unveil the domain name once I get it up and running or maybe sooner, who knows?

Meanwhile Blogger support is nonexistent so I forwarded the domain name that I bought for this domain name to this address, but it could take like 24hrs for it to take affect, once that happens I will probably unveil the domain name you have all been so patiently waiting for.

Some Updates

My Dad is here and will be staying for a week, I'm not getting along with him as well as I expected, in fact I'm not getting along with my family at all. Blogger has not responded to my support email, which prompts a rant:

What the fuck, this is run by GOOGLE you would think that they would have better support, actually you would think they would have support, it is literally non existent! Now I am probably going to have to get my own host, setup blogging software on my own server, hookup my own domain name ect. I mean is it really that difficult to give me the name severs to point my domain name too! Anyway I hope I don't get blacklisted because of this...

One of the domains I own is about to expire, so I try and renew my payment info but is says incorrect credit card and then locks it, I can't change it for 24 hours! Fucking assholes...

Home for the holidays

My Dad is coming home for the holidays; in fact he should be here by 10 if all goes well. Still no response form blogger, so no new domain name yet, sorry. In other interesting news I stayed up almost all night trying to get the activation key for Norton Internet Security 2006, no luck yet though.

Headache…Tylenol

I had a headache all last night so I finally took 4 Tylenol to get rid of it. I actually had a headache for the past couple days but never took any pain pills for it...In other news I have yet to buy any Christmas presents for my family so I had better start doing that. I have yet to receive any response form blogger support so no domain hookup yet, but it shouldn’t be long. I'm hungry; I think I'll go make myself a sandwich...

Futurama

I watched Futurama today; it was quite good because it had sort of a subliminal message to it. It was the one where they go to a robot trade show, and the professor gets a new robot, bender feels inferior and scared of it and they want him to go to get an upgrade which he does, and while doing so has a dream of, fuck it this Is getting complicated, but long story short, he washes up on a dessert island,



and as he gets up only his body and one arm leave an imprint in the sand. This, as my educated readers will know is a parody of Robinson Crusoe, in that book when he is on the island he finds one footprint, not two in the sand, gets all paranoid and thinks it's the devil coming to get him. God this post has been a lot longer than I intended.

Oh, and sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple days, I took a sort of vacation away form the computer, because I am working on SIX websites at the SAME time, and I am stressed beyond belief. Anyone who has ever tried to make a website knows how stressful it can be. Multiply that by six. And I’m not talking about HAVEING six websites completed; I'm talking about DEVELOPING and PROMOTING SIX websites. It's a bitch.

A lot of futurams episodes can be cool, a lot cooler than what else they have lined up on “adult swim” what the hell kind of a name is that anyway “adult swim”. I bet they were stoned when they came up with that one, or maybe high on acid. I woke up today with a sore throat, and had planned on going to the doctors but it went away. I could feel it "coming on" for the past couple days. Maybe it's the dry heat or something.

Movie Review: "The Rage In Placid Lake"

I watched "The Rage In Placid Lake" this morning and I must say I though it was going to be a boring and lame film but it was quite good. In fact I think it was one of those very rare films that comes along once in a while, that really reaches out and touches you, such as "Trust" and "Beijing Bicycle" and I don't mean in the way a priest touches alter boys.

I started watching it last night, but I was very tired and I though it was going to be stupid, so I just laid back on the couch and dozed, then went to bed, but this morning I said fuck it, it could be interesting?, and watched it and I'm glad to say I did. The movie is basically about a kid who is very intelligent and doesn’t want to conform to societies norms of being another drone in the corporate world. I think that the movie parallels my life in many ways, except for the fact that I never got beat up, I was the one beating others, and my parents were not new-age hippies. Interesting movie though.

I really don't feel like updating today, but as It says I update every day. A guy I know was supposed to get some cigs for me today but never came through, so I'll have to do it tommorow. I was up all night and didn't get to sleep till noon. I was supposed to talk about my comp. today but It's a long story and I don't feel like it, mabye some other time. Peace.

Computer Problems

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of days, I had some major computer trouble over the last couple of days and could not access the internet. I think I may have fixed most of the problem though. I'm really tired now and have a busy day tomorrow, plus my computer is still not at 100%, so I'll post more about it tomorrow.

Thanksgiving?, thankful for what?

You know I could really go off on a rant hear but I'm too tired. So all I'm going to say is my grandma is coming over for dinner and I hate her guts. For all you non-Americans who read this blog, thanksgiving celebrated when the settlers, who were hungry had a feast with the Indians, then they got drunk and killed each other. It was a memorable day in American history, not soon to be forgotten. Also I hear that other countries also celebrate thanksgiving, wtf? Why is the rest of the world always trying to adopt America’s culture? America’s culture really isn’t as great as it's cracked up to be, stick to your own culture, world, it's probably better. I didn’t explain that very well so I’m sure a lot of people are going to take that the wrong way and get offended. Oh well.

I'm so fucking wired right now!!

I feel like I'm on speed. I didn't eat much for thanksgiving dinner but I did have a piece of apple pie, and it got me so fucking high! The way the pie is made it has a huge amount of sugar on it and it got me really wired. The strange thing is that I am really physically stimulated, usually when I have stimulants, such as caffeine it only makes me mentally stimulated and alert but my body still feels tired. Right now I'm really physically and mentally stimulated. When I was at the table I couldn’t keep still and I was talking like crazy, which was strange for me because I'm not that talkative usually.

Major changes on the forum

I got the problems sorted out and I made some major changes on the forum. I added some sections to it and made some behind the scenes changes like account activation. There is still a problem with the aviator feature so I'm still getting that sorted out and it should be fixed soon. If all goes well I will probably only let registered users post and read certain section of the forum.

I Finally Got Some Shoes

After about a million trips to every shoes store I the city I finally got a pair of shoes. It started snowing tonight, so if I didn't get some I was seriously fucked. As you know I have a very wide foot, so it's very hard to find a shoe that fits me, much less a shoe that fits me and looks cool. I had originally wanted to get a pair of k Swiss sneakers but a pair of them in wide is about as rare as a red diamond. Basically all sneakers would not be wide enough for me, so I tried getting some casual dress suede boots. There were problems with all the ones I could find though so as desperation ensued I got a pair of dark brown shoes that are kind of like a moccasin. I don't like the moccasin style but all the other wide shoes had defects and didn't fit. I asked some friends who claimed they like it and though it was "cool", although I had an uncanny feeling they were lying. I also bough some water proofing stuff for it which I suspect is silicone based. The woman at the counter claims it was not, but she didn’t seem like she knew what she was talking about. For those of you who are like “wtf?” silicone is a big no-no for shoes because it prevents them from breathing which equals sweaty feet:( I still want to get some more peoples opinion on it and maybe look for shoes some more before I wear it, plus I have to treat it to. I still plan to order this:

Broken Lamp

My lamp broke couple days ago but I never got a chance to write about it, so here goes: I was trying to move it in to another room and I was walking on my bed but the cord got stuck on my chair and as I was only holding it with one hand the glass shade fell off and shattered.

I was really paranoid about the glass being everywhere because I had clothes on my bed ect. I ended up wearing some of the clothes on my bed and washing the rest, washing all the linen on my bed and giving my whole room a very through cleaning.

Also I took everything out of my closet so as to clean it and spray Lysol into it and let that permeate throughout, because when ever I put clothes in there they all come out smelling like dust. When I first moved it there seemed to be some mold on the top shelf in it, so I painted the shelf. But I looked again yesterday and there seemed to be a very small amount of mold on the wall near the self. This is very tough mold because it does not respond to bleach or scrubbing, that’s why I had to paint over it.

I'm not sure if it's mold either but it's some kind of mildew or something, it's kind of fuzzy and it's stuck on to the self/wall. I have thoroughly cleaned my closet before but still the smell, well I will have to see how I do this time.

I'm an admin!!

I just received word that I am now an administrator to a very popular web site, masamania.com! There are still some issues I have to clear up so that I can start using my new powers, but that should happen very soon:) Expect to see some changes on the forums and maybe some long awaited masamania merchandise :) I'm really exited about this appointment and have a lot of good ideas on how to improve the site and forums. If you’re not familiar with the site I would suggest joining the forums. Also I cleaned out my email addresses so their nice and squeaky.

No Digital Camera For me!

I must apologize to you for the lack of pictures on this site, as I have no digital camera! I of course want one but they are as expensive as fuck. I'll try and get one somehow though eventually.

I Keep Late Hours

I have a cycle of going to bed very late (4-5am) then for a while then eventually trying to get to bed by around midnight and doing it for a couple weeks, then slipping back in to the old regimen. Just like now. Here I am at 3:39 in the morning typing this post. Did I want to go to bed hours ago? Yes of course, but I couldn’t because I am not in that sleep cycle. It doesn’t help that I don't have an alarm, of course. I used to have a nice old fashion one made of metal with a little ringer like this:

except in gold, but I smashed it in a fit of rage. That's a long story, maybe I'll tell you sometime though:)

My To do list, Probable move.

I made a to do list today, I hope It will help me to actually accomplish my tasks. The problem is that I have so many good ideas and things to do and I'm trying to do them all at the same time, I end up finishing none (or very few) of them. I also wrote out a list of interesting articles I intend to write about in the future.
I also plan on moving this blog to new software on my own server, so I'm shopping around now for that and I have a dilemma. Lots of space and bandwidth and for a low price, but with sucky service, or less space and bandwidth for a higher price, but with better service?

My stat counter is fucking up

I use 3rd party stat counter that I have to log onto to view the stats. It keeps logging me off at random times. Then I have to log back on but it redirects me to the main page. I sent them two emails about it tonight so we'll see how that goes.....I also have disabled the comment feature for now. Maybe I will enable it again sometime though...

Retainer

I got a retainer today. I think it sucks ass. I can barely swallow, I can't eat in it, and when I first put it on it was activating my gag reflex. At first when I put it on I couldn’t swallow either, but after a couple of hours I can swallow very small amounts of my saliva. Oh, yea I can't fucking talk in this thing. I sound like some kinda fuckin retard or something. It's embarrassing. My sister brought a friend over today and I had to take the thing out just to talk to her and not act like some kind of slobbering retard. I taught her how to play a couple of beats on the drums though.

Shoe Problem

My shoes don't fit. They simply aren’t wide enough. I have been wearing flip-flops with sandals in this cold November weather. It sucks ass and it looks ridiculous. I of coarse went to basically every shoe store in the city but none of them of there shoes are wide enough for my feet. I found this one pair of shoes promising online but they are out of them. Also a lot of online shoe stores don't even list the width of their shoes! They just say 11, 12, 13 ect. All of the "online shoe stores" don't even have that wide shoes (4e) and their shoes are ugly and unfashionable. I have considered getting them custom made but that would be uber-expensive. I don't know what I am going to do when it starts snowing and I have to shovel the driveway :)

Domain name problems, name problem, search engine problem

Well I'll start this post out with the domain name, "mattscoollife.blogspot.com", that's the domain name now that you’re probably reading now. I submitted this domain name to a whole bunch of search engines and after a lot of tweaking I realized "hey I could get a dot tk domain name.” I had though they displayed ads but I guess I was wrong. So I get a domain name and hook it up and it says it already submitted it to search engines. I don't know what search engines it submitted it to or if I should do it again. If I over submit it I could get banned or fucked by the search engines. FUCK. Also the dot tk domain name I got isn’t showing up now. It's when I go to that domain name I get the white. Tutoring Discussion

Today my Mom came home from work on her lunch hour and we talked (as usual) about how she wanted me to go back to school or get tutored. I told her (as usual) that because of what I wanted to do in life I didn't need the diploma on my wall. On other news I am trying to traverse some FTP problems with a new website I am creating. Also the tip of my penis is sore. Fascinating stuff; Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
